Raytheon is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer – Signals Analyst to join our Mission Systems Engineering team. This role requires strong analytical judgment, technical expertise in signal environments, and the ability to produce clear, actionable products. Location: Aurora, Colorado

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development of innovative, enterprise‑scale solutions to complex tasking challenges, driving strategic process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance performance across multiple teams and mission areas.
  • Conduct advanced signal analysis to identify emerging patterns, characterize complex anomalies, and generate high‑value insights that inform broader operational or program‑level decision‑making.
  • Perform expert‑level signal processing and exploitation across communication systems, guiding technical approaches, establishing best practices, and mentoring others in advanced methodologies.
  • Integrate and correlate signals with multiple intelligence and operational sources to produce comprehensive, mission‑impactful assessments that support senior‑level stakeholders and cross‑program objectives.
  • Author, maintain, and quality‑review analytical reports, briefs, and technical documentation; provide authoritative assessments for leadership and ensure consistency and accuracy across team outputs.
  • Employ and optimize specialized tools, platforms, and workflows for signal processing, identifying capability gaps, recommending enhancements, and contributing to long‑term technology planning.
  • Drive collaboration with cross‑functional, operational, and cross‑site teams, facilitating shared understanding, alignment, and enterprise integration; represent the team in high‑visibility technical discussions and customer engagements.

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in signals analysis signals analysis.
  • Experience with RF signals, communications systems, and network protocols.
  • Experience in analytical thinking and pattern recognition.
  • Experience interpreting complex technical data and producing clear product reporting.
  • Experience in presentation and reporting.
  • Experience integrating algorithms into operations or production software environments.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced technical training in signal processing and related disciplines
  • Specific program domain knowledge
  • Experience using analysis tools and environments such as MATLAB, Python (NumPy/SciPy/Pandas), or equivalent Experience with C/C++, Java or similar.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
