Telecommunications Specialist

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsible for the management coordination, development and implementation of telecommunications plans and policy for new and existing institutions with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Responsible for Facilities Operations and Facilities Programs for all FBOP institutions. Responsible for the early planning, testing and inspection of all telecommunication systems and power plant electronic sub-systems with new FBOP facilities. Conducts testing and acceptance of new Division 17, Electronic systems at new sites and ensures that the systems work properly through the first year of activation. Provides expert technical assistance to the Central Office and Regional Office staff regarding Division 17, Electronic Systems.
