Build the KYC platform that enables faster onboarding, stronger controls, and scalable compliance across lines of business. This role sits at the intersection of product vision, modern architecture, and disciplined delivery—treating software as a strategic product with measurable outcomes. You will design reusable platform capabilities that teams can adopt quickly, configure safely, and operate reliably. If you thrive on turning complex regulatory needs into elegant, auditable, high-performing systems, this role offers enterprise-level impact.

Job Summary:

As a/an Vice President, KYC Platform Product Design, you will own the technical product vision and platform roadmap for a modern, reusable KYC platform that scales across lines of business and jurisdictions.

You will design platform capabilities that are consumed by multiple programs, emphasizing configuration over customization and “build once, configure everywhere.” You will externalize business logic through rule-driven approaches to enable rapid policy changes without risky release cycles. You will influence senior stakeholders across Product, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Architecture to align investment, controls, and delivery outcomes. You will operate as a senior individual contributor with broad accountability and enterprise-level visibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the technical product vision, user personas, value propositions, and roadmap for the KYC platform, defining measurable success metrics and adoption outcomes.
  • Define reusable platform capabilities (data services, rules/decision services, UI components, workflow orchestration, integration patterns) that accelerate delivery across multiple teams and LOBs.
  • Champion “build once, configure everywhere” platform design principles, minimizing one-off customization and enabling self-service consumption patterns.
  • Architect event-driven integration patterns, including Kafka-based asynchronous eventing, to broadcast reusable platform signals without tight coupling.
  • Establish and govern a platform health scorecard covering reliability, performance, security, cost efficiency, and developer experience, driving continuous improvement.
  • Design and govern a service-oriented architecture (SOA/microservices) with clear domain boundaries, API contracts, and durable integration standards.
  • Define API standards, integration patterns, and data contracts to support interoperability across KYC, CDD, COLT, CAP, OSKAR, and downstream systems.
  • Implement a rule-driven framework (policy-as-code/decision engines) that externalizes business logic from application code to support rapid regulatory and policy change.
  • Drive modernization from monolithic, intent-based workflows toward content-first, configuration-driven architectures that support cross-LOB nuances at speed.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery in agile operating models, embedding CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security-by-design, and SRE practices into platform engineering.
  • Ensure auditability and resilience by designing for data lineage, decision explainability, access controls, evidence capture, incident readiness, capacity planning, and cost optimization.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 10+ years of software product design experience, including 5+ years in product design or platform leadership roles delivering enterprise-scale platforms.
  • Demonstrated product mindset with experience defining user journeys, value propositions, success metrics, and iterative roadmaps for platform software.
  • Proven experience building reusable platform capabilities (APIs, SDKs, shared services, frameworks) consumed by multiple teams or lines of business.
  • Deep expertise in SOA/microservices and event-driven architecture, including strong API design skills (REST and at least one of GraphQL or gRPC).
  • Hands-on experience implementing rule engines, decision management systems, or policy-as-code frameworks (e.g., Drools, DMN, OPA, or equivalent custom approaches).
  • Proficiency with modern engineering stacks (Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong data architecture foundations, including domain modeling, canonical data, data lineage/governance, and familiarity with event sourcing and CQRS concepts.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration, case management, or BPM platforms (e.g., Camunda, Temporal, or equivalent orchestration patterns).
  • Financial services domain experience, ideally across KYC, AML, CDD, onboarding, and compliance, with working knowledge of sanctions, FATCA, and CRS requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable technical designs with clear acceptance criteria and operational controls.
  • Strong executive communication and influence skills, with experience driving alignment across Product, Risk, Compliance, Security, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience integrating Applied AI/ML capabilities or agentic frameworks into platform products, including experimentation or discovery sprint approaches.
  • Track record leading modernization programs, including monolith-to-microservices migrations, legacy decommissioning, and cloud adoption at scale.
  • Practical experience designing telemetry and platform health metrics, including familiarity with tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, or equivalent observability stacks.
  • Exposure to audit and control frameworks and privacy expectations (e.g., SOX-aligned controls, GDPR principles, access controls, and evidence capture patterns).
  • Experience operating in globally distributed delivery models across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated strength in resilience engineering practices, including proactive testing approaches (e.g., chaos engineering concepts) and error-budget-driven prioritization.
  • Familiarity with configuration-driven product design patterns that enable safe, rapid changes to policies and workflows without frequent deployments.
