JOB DESCRIPTION
Iron EagleX is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer Senior Principal to join our dynamic team at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with Authorization to Operate (ATO) standards. This role involves overseeing Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, data management, and implementing robust network security measures to support analytics and data science tool adoption. This is a hybrid position at Fort Bragg (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
Job Duties Include (but not limited to):
- System Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers to ensure stability, performance, and security.
- AWS Management: Oversee AWS infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources as needed.
- Data Management: Implement and manage data storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
- Network Security: Develop and enforce security policies, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond promptly to security incidents.
- ATO Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to ATO standards, including maintaining documentation, conducting regular audits and overseeing submission of ATO renewal packages
- Automation: Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline system management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor system performance, apply updates, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
- Proficiency in managing AWS environments and services.
- Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
- Experience implementing and managing network security measures.
- Familiarity with ATO processes and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Skills:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+).
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

The likely salary range for this position is $146,266 - $197,890. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
