As a Chef de Partie, you’re not just overseeing the preparation of high-quality dishes – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Latin American dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Take responsibility for your designated kitchen section and ensure it is fully prepared for service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Prepare mise en place and ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and readily available.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist with inventory control.
- Minimize food waste and support food cost management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Support the Sous Chef during busy service periods.
- Assist in training and mentoring Commis Chefs and new team members.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu improvements when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
