About Phaidra

Phaidra is building the future of industrial automation.

The world today is filled with static, monolithic infrastructure. Factories, power plants, buildings, etc. operate the same they've operated for decades — because the controls programming is hard-coded. Thousands of lines of rules and heuristics that define how the machines interact with each other. The result of all this hard-coding is that facilities are frozen in time, unable to adapt to their environment while their performance slowly degrades.

Phaidra creates AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector, enabling industrial facilities to automatically learn and improve over time. Specifically:

  • We use reinforcement learning algorithms to provide this intelligence, converting raw sensor data into high-value actions and decisions.
  • We focus on industrial applications, which tend to be well-sensorized with measurable KPIs — perfect for reinforcement learning.
  • We enable domain experts (our users) to configure the AI control systems (i.e. agents) without writing code. They define what they want their AI agents to do, and we do it for them.

Our team has a track record of applying AI to some of the toughest problems. From achieving superhuman performance with DeepMind's AlphaGo, to reducing the energy required to cool Google's Data Centers by 40%, we deeply understand AI and how to apply it in production for massive impact.

Phaidra’s ability to achieve its mission is determined by our ability to work together — as defined by our core values: TransparencyCollaborationOperational ExcellenceOwnership, and Empathy. We seek individuals who embody these values, as they are instrumental in ensuring our team consistently delivers excellence and fosters an engaging and supportive culture

Phaidra is based in the USA, but we are 100% remote with no physical office. We hire employees internationally with the help of our partner, OysterHR. Our team is currently located throughout the USA, Canada, UK, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and India.

Who You Are

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead one of the most important product bets at Phaidra: making Prism the connective data surface for the entire data center operation. It's the system operators trust for diagnostics and triage, and the layer executives rely on for operating intelligence across the site. Working closely with the CPO, you will shape and drive the strategy that extends Prism's reach from the floor to the boardroom.

You are bold and creative, with deep empathy for the operators on the floor who feel the pain first, and equal fluency with the executives who buy platforms. You spend time on-site and on calls with customers regularly, not just in research readouts, and you can tell me the last specific problem you heard from one. You think in systems and flywheels, not features. You are comfortable helping shape a big, opinionated bet and then sequencing the pragmatic steps that get there. You partner naturally with Engineering, AI, Design, and go-to-market, and you can hold a technical architecture discussion and a pricing-strategy discussion in the same afternoon.

**We are seeking teammates who are based in Eastern or Central time zones (US or Canada).

Responsibilities

You will partner with the CPO to develop and drive the product strategy and roadmap that establishes Prism as the agentic operating platform for the data center — spanning diagnostics, triage, and the broader intelligence layer operators and executives depend on.

Concretely, you will:

  • Work with the CPO to translate the platform vision into a sequenced, fundable roadmap, and drive it to delivery across teams.
  • Regularly visit and join calls with customers to see Prism in production and hear unfiltered feedback, not just what's escalated.
  • Translate floor-level customer pain into clear, high-quality product requirements, keeping teams close to real operator context.
  • Help drive expansion along two axes — connecting more of the data center’s operational and business systems, and advancing our insight & recommendations and supervised & autonomous control offerings.
  • Lead the delivery of key integrations that connect new systems into Prism, closing the loop from detection to diagnosis to action.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design to sequence and ship the platform capabilities that make broader, safer autonomy possible.
  • Support the expansion of Prism’s user base beyond the operations floor to new personas and buyers, including facilities and infrastructure leadership at hyperscale and neocloud operators, and partner with go-to-market and Finance on packaging and pricing.
  • Establish frameworks for prioritization, discovery, and risk mitigation; build high-quality product artifacts; coach and mentor other PMs, and help raise the standard for product practice — frameworks, artifacts, discovery rigor — across the team, not just within your own initiatives.
  • Own the metrics that define success in this role, including adoption across new systems and personas, progress along the insight-to-autonomy axis, and expansion revenue, and use them to guide prioritization and roadmap trade-offs.
  • Deeply understand the product architecture and participate actively in technical planning, so the strategy stays grounded in what the platform can actually do.
  • Help ensure alignment across teams by clearly communicating strategy, decisions, and trade-offs.

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of technical product management experience, including leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfortable spending significant time directly with customers or end users, and treats that time as core product work, not a distraction from it.
  • Track record of helping take a product from point solution toward platform — or contributing to a platform, integration, or data-surface product.
  • Exceptional ability to translate customer needs into strategic product direction and to sequence an ambitious vision into fundable steps.
  • Deep expertise in prioritization frameworks and product decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Strong technical acumen, including system architecture, integrations/APIs, and data platforms.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, including leadership, and to align teams on strategy, decisions, and trade-offs.
  • Experience mentoring and developing other product managers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including explaining complex ideas to audiences from the floor to the boardroom, in an all-remote setting.
  • Shares our company values: Collaboration, Transparency, Operational Excellence, Ownership, & Empathy.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Domain experience in data centers, critical infrastructure, industrial, or energy systems.
  • Experience with forward-deployed or services-led motions and turning them into platform revenue.
  • Familiarity with operational systems in this space, such as BMS/EPMS, CMMS, DCIM, or ITSM.
  • Experience productizing agentic AI or autonomous/closed-loop control.
  • Experience designing layered or usage-based B2B pricing, and familiarity with B2B sales and go-to-market.
  • Startup or high-growth experience with distributed/global teams.

Relevant Systems & Technologies

  • Prism platform and its knowledge base
  • Agentic control agents
  • BMS/EPMS telemetry
  • MQTT and other industrial communication protocols
  • Data center operational and business systems (e.g., CMMS, DCIM, ITSM)
  • GCP-based cloud stack

Onboarding

In your first 30 days…

  • Complete onboarding and immerse yourself in Prism, the strategy, and how a customer install works end-to-end today.
  • Spend time with operators to see the floor-level pain and the diagnostics/triage workflows Prism supports now.
  • Deeply understand our customer base and their major pain points.
  • Deeply understand your partners across Engineering, Design, Sales, and Leadership.

In your first 60 days…

  • Develop an informed point of view on roadmap sequencing and pressure-test it with the CPO, Engineering, and Design.
  • Take ownership of an early, high-leverage integration or capability, from requirements through delivery planning.
  • Join multiple live customer implementation and support calls.
  • Build the relationships across teams that you’ll need to drive a cross-functional bet.

In your first 90 days…

  • Partner with the CPO to publish a sequenced roadmap with clear near-term moves.
  • Have direct conversations with at least two major customer accounts to inform the roadmap and direction.
  • Land said high-leverage integration or expanded capability with a live customer deployment, thereby moving Prism one concrete step closer towards the platform direction.
  • Contribute to an initial pricing or packaging experiment with a friendly account.
