Biocair is looking for a Transport & Warehouse Manager to lead our local transport, warehouse, import and export operations while ensuring the highest standards of customer service, compliance, and operational performance. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will oversee multiple teams, drive business performance through data and KPIs, and ensure the successful delivery of temperature-controlled logistics solutions that help move science forward.
As the senior operational leader for the site, you will work closely with managers, leadership teams, suppliers, and customers to optimise performance, improve efficiency, and maintain a safe, compliant, and highly engaged working environment.

What You'll Be Doing
Operational Leadership
- Providing strategic oversight of Transport, Warehouse, Import and Export operations at site level.
- Acting as the escalation point for shipment deviations and complex operational challenges.
- Serving as the local process owner for transport and warehouse functions, ensuring operational excellence and compliance. Maintaining and improving local SOPs in partnership with the Quality team.
- Acting as the key contact for operational issues outside standard working hours when required.
People Leadership
- Leading and coaching Team Managers to deliver exceptional performance and employee engagement.
- Holding regular one-to-ones, supporting development plans, and identifying training opportunities.
- Driving a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Managing performance, objective setting, salary reviews, and workforce planning activities.
Business Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitoring and improving operational performance through KPIs, reporting, and business intelligence.
- Designing and implementing effective Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and cost performance.
- Presenting operational insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Fleet & Facility Management
- Leading fleet optimisation initiatives to maximise utilisation and efficiency.
- Managing vehicle maintenance strategies, risk assessments, and driver performance initiatives.
- Ensuring site security, facilities maintenance, and a safe working environment.
- Supporting compliance with health and safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
Systems & Data Management
- Driving data accuracy and integrity across operational systems.
- Supporting system improvements and product development through effective backlog and stakeholder management.
- Using operational data to inform decision-making and support strategic goals.
What We Offer You
- Competitive salary: Between $102,600 - $115,500 per annum

What You'll Bring
Essential
- Proven experience leading medium-sized operational teams across multiple departments.
- Strong expertise in logistics and cold chain operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational performance through KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer service, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Desirable
- Experience working with Dangerous Goods or Hazardous Materials.
- Knowledge of active and passive temperature-controlled packaging solutions.
- IATA DGR, ADR, or equivalent regulatory certification.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems and resource planning.
