Collaborate with our product design, reliability, and UL compliance team to build test automation hardware that executes any and all required testing
Contribute to the software and firmware development of test beds, including control, automation, and data acquisition functionality (Python)
Architect and implement test equipment for BMS verification, including bench-level functional test setups, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems for firmware and controls algorithm verification testing, reliability test beds, and compliance/certification test beds.
Collaborate with product design team to diagnose product issues and implement fixes in hardware and software
Contribute to the software development of test beds, including control, automation, and data acquisition functionality
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of experience in electrical design and/or test equipment development (battery or energy systems experience is a plus)
Proficiency with eCAD tools for PCB, control panel and harness designs (Altium AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN are a plus)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
Hands-on experience with sensors, power electronics, data acquisition, and control systems
Hands-on prototyping experience, including tooling (crimping, soldering, etc), troubleshooting with scopes/meters, and general PCBA rework
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance speed, rigor, and safety
Experience with developing software for testing or automation environments;
Python or PLC languages (IEC 61131-3) preferred
