Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Examiner in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with building management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and/or access issues.
- Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations, assist with access control practices, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations through proper reporting channels.
- Support daily property operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related requests from tenants, guests, contractors, and delivery personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Security Experience - 1+ Years.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
