Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and high-performance applications supporting mission-critical services.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and distributed microservices with a focus on reliability, scalability, and low latency.
- Debug and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and continuous performance improvement.
- Develop technical documentation and contribute to system design specifications and architectural decisions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response for production systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering, to deliver new features and platform improvements.
- Work on data processing and event-driven systems using tools such as Kafka and related streaming technologies.
- Contribute to backend infrastructure improvements, including CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments, and cloud deployments.
- 7+ years of experience in backend software engineering, building large-scale production systems.
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with deep understanding of multithreading and concurrency.
- Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and Cassandra.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and distributed microservice architectures.
- Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Airflow, Spark, or Hadoop.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills in production environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional engineering teams.
