Job Summary
The Manager, Training Operations is responsible for driving the operational execution of the organization's learning and development strategy. This role serves as the central point of coordination for learning initiatives, driving program and project management, learning systems enrollment and administration, and cross-functional alignment. The Manager ensures learning programs are delivered effectively and in compliance with organizational requirements.

Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience, with 3+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training Operations, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-wide learning programs and initiatives.
  • Strong project and program management experience, including leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related learning technologies.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (biotech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, healthcare, or similar) preferred.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Experience developing project plans, timelines, dashboards, and stakeholder communications.
Systems Administration
  • Strong understanding of LMS administration, reporting, data management, and system governance.
  • Ability to leverage technology to automate and optimize learning processes.
  • Proficiency with HR systems, learning technologies, and reporting tools.
Operational Excellence
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees and people leaders. Skilled at facilitating meetings, managing stakeholders, and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the operational management of company-wide learning and development programs and training matrices from planning, enrollment, execution and measurement.
  • Develop and maintain annual learning calendars, project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Establish processes that ensure consistent completion and tracking of training initiatives.
  • Develop communication plans that ensure leaders and employees understand learning requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Manage external training vendors, facilitators, and learning partners as needed.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS) and associated platforms, managing system configuration, user access, course assignments, workflows, reporting, and integrations.
  • Ensure learning operations adhere to applicable policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Create and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into learning activity, completion rates, compliance, and effectiveness.
