Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (React, Node.js, Cloud & Infrastructure) – Remote

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours (with flexibility for sprint planning, deployments, and on-call support)

About the Role

At Pavago, we’re hiring on behalf of one of our clients for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build, scale, and maintain modern web applications and the cloud infrastructure that powers them.

This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role focused on:

Full-stack application development
Cloud infrastructure
System architecture
CI/CD automation
Performance optimization
Platform reliability

You’ll work across the entire technology stack—from front-end interfaces to back-end services, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines—while helping shape engineering best practices and mentoring fellow developers.

What You’ll Own

Full Stack Application Development

Design, build, and maintain modern web applications.
Develop responsive user interfaces using:

React
Angular
Vue.js

Build reusable components and scalable front-end architecture.
Translate Figma and Sketch designs into production-ready applications.
Optimize applications for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

Backend Development & APIs

Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs using:

Node.js
Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI)
Java

Design secure authentication and authorization systems.
Build scalable business logic and third-party integrations.
Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases including:

PostgreSQL
MySQL
MongoDB

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

Deploy and manage applications on:

AWS
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Microsoft Azure

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:

GitHub Actions
Jenkins
CircleCI

Manage containerized applications using:

Docker
Kubernetes

Support cloud-native infrastructure and deployment automation.

Testing & Engineering Quality

Write and maintain:

Unit tests
Integration tests
End-to-end tests

Utilize testing frameworks such as:

Jest
Mocha
PyTest
Cypress

Maintain high code quality through peer reviews and engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

Monitoring, Security & Reliability

Monitor systems using:

Datadog
New Relic
Grafana
Prometheus

Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices.
Apply secure coding standards aligned with OWASP guidelines.
Support compliance with standards such as:

GDPR
SOC 2
HIPAA

Improve system uptime, resiliency, and disaster recovery readiness.

Technical Leadership

Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
Lead architecture discussions and technical planning.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through reviews, pairing, and coaching.
Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and long-term technical roadmaps.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency with:

JavaScript
TypeScript
React
Node.js

Experience building production-grade APIs and scalable applications.
Hands-on experience with:

PostgreSQL
MySQL
MongoDB

Cloud deployment experience using:

AWS
GCP
Azure

Strong understanding of:

Git workflows
CI/CD pipelines
Software architecture

Excellent debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience leading architecture reviews and technical design sessions.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Terraform
Pulumi
CloudFormation

Experience building:

SaaS platforms
High-traffic applications

Familiarity with:

Kubernetes
Microservices
Event-driven architecture
Serverless computing

Experience with observability, cloud cost optimization, and distributed systems.
