The role of a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is an excellent opportunity to actively drive sales growth, create demand and expand distribution across independent retail, wholesale, trade and key customer accounts within your assigned territory.
As a TSM at Sherwin-Williams, you will be expected to identify and pursue new business opportunities, open customer conversations that drive growth, and take full ownership of delivering territory performance - even when conditions are uncertain or outcomes are not immediate.
This is a field-based, commercially focused role covering Cork and Kerry. Candidates must live within the territory.
This position is ideal for a sales professional with field-based or B2B experience who is energized by building relationships, influencing decisions and creating opportunities through proactive engagement.
In return, we offer an exciting career with ongoing support and development, attractive salary, uncapped sales bonus, company car, and a comprehensive benefits package.
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will go beyond managing existing business - you will actively drive growth, develop accounts and build long-term value:
- Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities across your territory, including new accounts and underdeveloped customers
- Build strong relationships with independent retailers, wholesalers, buying groups and key stakeholders to influence decisions and grow share
- Create and maintain a healthy pipeline through consistent prospecting, follow-up and opportunity management
- Deliver targeted sales growth by executing pricing, promotions and commercial initiatives (e.g. Pre-Season, Drive to Thrive)
- Apply value-based selling to align products and solutions with customer needs, improving performance and profitability
- Use data and insights to identify gaps, track performance and prioritise high-impact actions across accounts
- Develop and deliver structured account plans, regularly reviewing and adapting them to maximise growth
- Ensure effective execution of the Sherwin-Williams Sales Cycle across all customer interactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, pipeline and account information in Salesforce.com (SFDC)
- Deliver strong in-market execution by ensuring merchandising, product visibility and distribution standards are met
- Successfully execute new product launches and achieve distribution targets
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing and market trends, taking action where opportunities arise
- Represent the brand professionally at customer meetings, trade shows and events
- Collaborate with National Account Managers and internal teams to deliver aligned customer outcomes
How You Will Succeed
In this role, success is defined not just by results, but by how you create progress and deliver impact:
- You take initiative and act without waiting for direction or perfect conditions
- You consistently seek out new opportunities rather than relying on existing business
- You remain persistent and focused when facing resistance, rejection or slow progress
- You take ownership for building pipeline, momentum and overall territory performance
- You actively engage customers, asking questions and uncovering needs to create value
- You use data and insights to guide decisions and improve outcomes
- You adapt your approach based on feedback, market conditions and evolving priorities
- You follow through on commitments and ensure actions are completed to a high standard
- You balance short-term delivery with building sustainable, long-term customer relationships
- You collaborate effectively across teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers and the business
