About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and client-focused Digital Marketing Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, delivering measurable improvements in Google Business Profile performance and local search visibility.

This is a hands-on execution role—not a strategy-only position. You will personally optimize Google Business Profiles, execute local SEO initiatives, manage digital marketing tools, and serve as the primary point of contact for monthly client reporting.

You'll work with approximately 15–20 client accounts, helping businesses in the storage, parking, RV, boat storage, and local service industries improve their online presence while building strong client relationships through clear communication and measurable results.

Responsibilities

Google Business Profile Optimization

  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for multiple client locations.
  • Improve local search rankings through ongoing profile optimization.
  • Maintain accurate business information, categories, services, photos, posts, and attributes.
  • Develop strategies that increase visibility, engagement, and customer actions.

Local SEO Management

  • Execute local SEO strategies that improve rankings in Google Maps and local search.
  • Monitor NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across directories.
  • Manage citations and identify opportunities to strengthen local authority.
  • Implement review generation and reputation management best practices.
  • Monitor local search performance and recommend optimization opportunities.

Client Account Management

  • Independently manage a portfolio of approximately 15–20 client accounts.
  • Build strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive support.
  • Conduct monthly performance review meetings with clients.
  • Present campaign performance, insights, recommendations, and next steps in a clear, non-technical manner.
  • Identify client retention and upsell opportunities when appropriate.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare monthly marketing performance reports.
  • Analyze key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track local search rankings, Google Business Profile performance, and engagement metrics.
  • Present actionable recommendations based on data.

Marketing Tools & Process Improvement

  • Select, implement, and manage the digital marketing tools required to deliver excellent results.
  • Recommend new platforms, automation tools, and workflow improvements.
  • Stay current with Google Business Profile updates, local SEO best practices, and emerging marketing technologies.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal account management teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Support leadership with marketing reporting for key enterprise accounts.
  • Learn internal software platforms quickly and accurately interpret performance data.

Required Experience & Skills

Must-Have

  • 5+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience focused on execution rather than strategy alone.
  • Proven experience optimizing Google Business Profiles for multiple businesses or locations.
  • Strong expertise in Local SEO, including:
    • Google Business Profile optimization
    • Local ranking factors
    • Citation management
    • NAP consistency
    • Review management strategies
  • Experience independently managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience creating and presenting marketing performance reports to clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and recommend improvements.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing digital marketing tools and software.
  • Excellent written English and professional verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software platforms and internal systems.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Previous client-facing account management experience.
  • Agency or white-label digital marketing experience.
  • Experience supporting businesses with multiple physical locations.
  • Familiarity with local service businesses such as storage, parking, automotive, hospitality, or home services.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightLocal, Whitespark, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar SEO tools.
  • Experience using AI-powered marketing tools to improve efficiency and reporting.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Your day begins by reviewing the performance of your client portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve Google Business Profile visibility and local search rankings.

You optimize client listings, monitor citations and reviews, prepare monthly performance reports, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requests are addressed promptly.

Throughout the week, you meet directly with clients to explain performance results, answer questions, and recommend next steps. You also evaluate marketing tools and processes that can improve efficiency and deliver stronger outcomes.

Success in this role comes from improving local visibility, maintaining excellent client relationships, and consistently delivering measurable marketing results.
