Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.
Job Overview
As the Director of Integrated Business Tools, you will own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of custom applications and capabilities Saronic builds on Palantir Foundry to power its core business functions. You will build relationships with department heads across People, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and other groups to understand evolving business needs and translate them into Foundry-based tools that keep pace with the company’s rapid growth. You are responsible for software development standards, practices, and hiring strategy across your team, and you will balance near-term delivery with longer-term platform health and technical debt reduction. This role serves as a strategic business leader, with the scope and authority to make decisions that materially impact significant processes across the company.
Responsibilities
Partner with core business groups, Engineering, Finance, IT/ET, Legal, Operations, and People teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable tools and capabilities built on Palantir Foundry.
Define and own the long-term roadmap for the suite of applications, workflows, and data integrations Saronic builds on Palantir Foundry across its core business groups.
Establish engineering standards, development practices, and architectural patterns for building on Palantir Foundry (AIP, Ontology, Pipelines, Workshop, and related capabilities).
Lead hiring, development, and performance management of a high-performing team of Product Leads, FDEs, Data Engineers and Quality Assurance.
Balance near-term feature delivery and urgent operational needs with longer-term platform health, scalability, and technical debt reduction
Drive integrations in partnership with cross functional systems owners between Foundry and source systems to reduce manual workflows and create a unified data and operational experience across the company
Establish governance frameworks, change management processes, and vendor management practices
Deliver executive-level reporting on platform health, project status, and team performance
Manage the Palantir relationship and contract negotiations, along with implementation partners that feed the Foundry ecosystem
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all business platforms in coordination with IT and Legal teams
Desired Qualifications
5+ years of experience building business applications, data platforms, or enterprise tooling, including hands-on experience delivering capabilities on Palantir Foundry
3+ years of experience managing teams of engineers, developers, or system administrators
Proven track record delivering complex, multi-system implementations in a fast-scaling environment
Deep familiarity with Palantir Foundry — Ontology, data pipelines, Workshop/application building, and integrating source systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, financial systems) into the platform
Strong executive communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business priorities for technical teams
Experience setting software engineering standards, evaluating when to build custom capabilities on Foundry versus buy off-the-shelf, and managing vendor relationships
Demonstrated ability to balance tactical execution with long-term platform strategy
Experience supporting a scaling defense, aerospace, or hardware manufacturing company
Background in system integration patterns (APIs, ETL, iPaaS) and workflow automation
Familiarity with government contracting environments and compliance requirements (CMMC, ITAR, export control)
Hands-on experience developing on Palantir Foundry, or with Palantir Gotham/Apollo, in a production environment
Other
Limited travel with advanced notice up to 25% of working time.
Able to work non-standard hours in support of urgent projects, software releases or in support of international team needs.
Physical Demands

Occasional standing and walking within the office.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
