The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of technical program management, portfolio leadership, Agile delivery, and enterprise governance, with significant hands-on experience using Planview as an enterprise portfolio management (PPM) platform. This individual will work closely with executives, business leaders, product organizations, architects, engineering teams, and PMO leadership to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes across globally distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Program Leadership
  • Lead multiple, large-scale cross-functional technology programs from initiation through successful delivery.
  • Develop integrated program plans, manage schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and key milestones.
  • Ensure programs align with enterprise strategy, governance frameworks, and organizational priorities.
  • Drive delivery excellence across multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing competing business demands.
  • Portfolio & Planview Leadership
  • Leverage Planview to manage portfolio planning, demand intake, resource planning, financial tracking, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
  • Ensure high-quality portfolio data by promoting governance, data integrity, and standardized planning practices.
  • Support portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, and capacity planning through Planview insights and analytics.
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and PMO leadership to improve portfolio visibility and delivery predictability.
  • Champion adoption and continuous improvement of enterprise portfolio management processes and tools.
  • Technical Program Management
  • Coordinate complex technology initiatives involving multiple delivery teams, business functions, vendors, and technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical planning, dependency management, release coordination, and implementation readiness.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Delivery Leads to remove delivery impediments and mitigate risks.
  • Drive issue resolution through proactive decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Agile Delivery Leadership
  • Lead programs using Agile, Hybrid, and traditional delivery methodologies based on program needs.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Release Train Engineers to improve delivery cadence and execution.
  • Drive PI Planning, roadmap alignment, dependency management, backlog governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote Agile best practices while maintaining enterprise governance and delivery discipline.
  • Executive & Stakeholder Management
  • Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology leaders across global organizations.
  • Prepare and present executive-level dashboards, program updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead governance forums, steering committees, and executive reviews with confidence and professionalism.
  • Influence decision-making across multiple organizations without direct authority.
  • Global Delivery & Vendor Management
  • Lead globally distributed teams across North America, Europe, India, and other regions.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external delivery partners to ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor vendor performance, delivery quality, and adherence to contractual commitments and organizational standards.
  • Governance, Risk & Financial Management
  • Manage program financials, forecasting, resource utilization, and budget performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks while proactively managing cross-program dependencies.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, audit, security, and PMO standards.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across the program portfolio.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading complex technology programs and enterprise initiatives.
