We have an opportunity for a Sr Controllership Analyst to join us at Honeywell Aerospace, in Bucharest, where you will oversee financial reporting and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements, adherence to policies, and supporting financial close processes. 

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processes and check journals according to the defined procedures and accounting principles and legislation
  • Perform variance analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
  • Scans statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors
  • Performs activities for Fixed Assets,
  • Inter-Company reconciliation
  • Roll-out VAT reporting transactions, 
  • Inventories, 
  • Provides accurate analysis of reconciliation records to third party documents
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements under US GAAP
  • May support US GAAP to Local GAAP conversion, account reconciliation
  • May assist in preparation of the statutory financial statements under Local GAAP
  • May prepare the Tax Exhibits following Tax regulations
  • Assist the external advisor on CITR preparation, gather data and review
  • Assist finance functions with payroll, tax, sales and/or cost accounting

Key skills and qualifications

  • Degree in finance or economics (preferably in the field of accounting) 
  • 3-5 Years of General Accounting and 
  • Reporting experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is a plus
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
  • Different ERPs may be a plus
  • Fluent: English
