Accountabilities:
- Design, architect, and develop scalable backend systems supporting telecom applications and high-volume connectivity services.
- Lead technical initiatives for core platforms, including SDK expansion and solutions that enable customers to build innovative telecom experiences.
- Build and maintain high-performance microservices using modern backend technologies and cloud-native architectures.
- Develop robust APIs using REST and/or GraphQL while ensuring reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Design effective data models and optimize storage solutions across relational and NoSQL databases.
- Drive engineering best practices around architecture, code quality, testing, observability, and system performance.
- Collaborate with product teams, engineering stakeholders, and customers to understand requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Take ownership of software development lifecycle activities, including implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, refactoring, and engineering workflows while maintaining high standards for security and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant expertise in backend systems.
- Strong experience designing and architecting large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in backend programming languages, with strong expertise in Go required; experience with Java, Kotlin, C++, or Node.js is a plus.
- Experience building and operating cloud-based applications using platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL API development.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
- Solid understanding of software testing practices, unit testing frameworks, and quality engineering principles.
- Proficiency working in Linux environments and using Git-based workflows.
- Experience designing scalable solutions for telecom, connectivity, or infrastructure platforms is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with telecom standards such as TMForum and 3GPP is a plus.
- Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders, translate requirements into architecture, and independently drive projects to completion.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to improve development efficiency.
