Accountabilities:
- Manage a portfolio of SMSF customers and deliver accurate, timely accounting outcomes.
- Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with applicable Australian SMSF, tax, and superannuation requirements.
- Manage end-to-end SMSF administration processes across various fund structures and scenarios.
- Build trusted relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, auditors, and external partners.
- Communicate clearly with customers and stakeholders to support important fund milestones and requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
- Support audit processes and collaborate with external SMSF auditors to ensure smooth completion.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance across all assigned activities.
- Contribute to improving customer experience and scaling SMSF service delivery.
- Develop deep knowledge of products, services, and operational processes to provide expert guidance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and financial operations.
- Proven experience in SMSF administration, accounting, or related financial services roles.
- Strong understanding of Australian SMSF structures, accounting principles, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory lodgements.
- Experience working with SMSF administration platforms such as Class or similar systems is preferred.
- Experience supporting SMSF audits and collaborating with external auditors is highly valued.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across complex financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Customer-focused approach combined with strong technical accounting expertise.
