The Opportunity

This field-based position is part of Abbott Medical Canada’s Vascular Division and reports to the Coronary and Endovascular Sales Manager. The Endovascular Key Account Manager II is responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic customer partnerships, and delivering clinical and economic value across an assigned geography in Canada. The role combines account management, clinical expertise, business development, and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen Abbott’s leadership position in the endovascular market.

What You’ll Do

Drive Strategic Account Growth

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer objectives and Abbott business priorities.
  • Identify, map, and influence key stakeholders across healthcare systems, from clinical end users to procurement and funding decision-makers.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with physicians, vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists, hospital administrators, and executive leaders.
  • Negotiate agreements and support long-term customer commitments that strengthen Abbott’s market position.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate demand for Abbott’s Endovascular portfolio.

Deliver Clinical and Commercial Excellence

  • Provide technical and clinical expertise to physicians and healthcare professionals during live procedures and case reviews.
  • Support product utilization in Cath Labs, Interventional Radiology Suites, and Operating Rooms.
  • Educate customers on the safe and effective use of Abbott technologies.
  • Position Abbott solutions by demonstrating clinical, operational, and economic value.
  • Support the successful launch and adoption of new products and technologies.

Act as a Strategic Business Partner

  • Analyze customer business needs and develop innovative solutions that address clinical and financial challenges.
  • Lead value-based discussions with executive-level stakeholders, including hospital leadership and provincial healthcare administrators.
  • Interpret financial and operational metrics to demonstrate the impact of Abbott solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and healthcare policy changes affecting strategic accounts.
  • Act as the internal voice of the customer and collaborate across Abbott divisions to deliver a “One Abbott” customer experience.

Leverage Data and Insights

  • Maintain accurate account, customer, and opportunity information within the CRM system (OneForce).
  • Record customer interactions and maintain up-to-date market intelligence and territory information.
  • Monitor territory performance, market share, and sales trends.
  • Prepare and execute territory strategies based on sales data and account analytics.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and business reporting.

Collaborate Across Functions

  • Partner with Clinical Specialists, Marketing, and other internal teams to achieve territory objectives.
  • Support national and regional business initiatives.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to influence strategic planning.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across divisions to maximize customer impact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience selling complex products, solutions, or medical technologies.
  • Proven experience managing strategic accounts and executive-level customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in value-based and solution-oriented selling environments.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Experience within medical device, healthcare, vascular, cardiovascular, or related industries is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive customer partnerships.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel within Canada (15–50% depending on territory).
  • Ability to travel internationally for training and meetings (approximately 5%).
  • The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively in English and French, as duties require interaction with stakeholders across Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting physicians in procedural environments.
  • Knowledge of vascular, endovascular, cardiovascular, or interventional technologies.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems such as OneForce or similar platforms.
  • Strong contract negotiation and strategic planning capabilities.

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based position.
  • Availability to support customer needs outside standard business hours when required.
  • Frequent travel within assigned territory.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience working with CRM and business reporting tools.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $68,250 to $100,100.00 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
