The Opportunity

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Hitachi Energy, a global technology leader shaping a more sustainable energy future, and to become part of the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Distribution Transformers organization. As a General Project Management Experienced Professional, you will play a key role in delivering customer-focused projects that support reliable energy infrastructure across international markets.

You will work at the heart of the organization, collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, Logistics, and After-Sales teams. The role covers the full project lifecycle—from contract handover through manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), delivery, and final handover—offering a dynamic and engaging project environment.

What makes this opportunity particularly appealing is the combination of technical complexity, cross-functional teamwork, and direct customer interaction. You will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, maintaining control over scope, schedule, cost, and risk, while acting as the main point of contact for customers and ensuring transparent, proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.

The PMO culture at Hitachi Energy is built on ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Project Managers are empowered to take initiative, identify risks early, and drive solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive, structured, and open environment where ideas and improvements are encouraged.

This position offers strong opportunities for professional growth within a global organization. You will strengthen your project management expertise, gain exposure to international customers, and build a solid foundation for long-term career development at Hitachi Energy. If you enjoy taking responsibility, making an impact, and contributing to meaningful projects, this role offers a rewarding next step in your career.

How you will make an impact

  • Take full accountability for customer projects, driving them from contract handover to delivery while ensuring commitments on timeline, cost, and quality are consistently met

  • Be the key driver of alignment between customers and internal stakeholders, transforming requirements into clear, actionable project plans

  • Anticipate risks and schedule challenges early, turning potential delays into managed scenarios through proactive decision-making and effective escalation

  • Influence cross-functional teams to prioritize, focus, and deliver in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Create transparency and trust by providing clear project visibility, progress updates, and fact-based forecasting to customers and internal management

  • Contribute to strengthening the overall capability of the PMO Team by sharing experience, supporting a collaborative and supportive team environment, and actively contributing to collective learning and continuous development

  • Support PMO maturity by contributing to standardization, continuous improvement, and consistent project execution practices across the organization

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering disciplines)

  • Minimum 3 years of proven project management experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering-driven environments

  • Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, ideally aligned with PMI / PMBOK standards

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders across functions such as Sales, Engineering, Planning, Production, Quality, and Logistics

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, align stakeholders, and build effective working relationships with customers and internal teams

  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, anticipate risks, and drive fact-based decision-making in complex project environments

  • Proficient in MS Project and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for planning, tracking, reporting, and communication

  • Fluency in both English and Turkish is required

  • No restriction for domestic and international business travel

  • Experience in the energy sector is considered a strong advantage. Experience in transformer manufacturing is considered a plus

  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) is a plus
