At ARX Robotics, the quality and traceability of manufacturing data is mission-critical. As Manufacturing Digitalization Specialist, you will take ownership of capturing, structuring, and digitalizing all relevant data generated across our production environment. From robotic platform configurations and assembly stages to component tracking and build status visibility.
You act as the critical link between the shop floor and our SAP S/4HANA system, translating physical production realities into clean, reliable, and actionable data. This role sits at the intersection of production operations and IT, and requires someone equally comfortable in both worlds: familiar enough with manufacturing to understand what happens on the floor, and technically capable of bringing that information into structured, scalable digital processes.
As ARX Robotics scales production of its autonomous ground systems, you will own the data foundation that makes it possible.
What You'll Build
Capture and digitalize production data across all manufacturing stages, including platform build status, component usage (e.g. parts, screws, subassemblies), and robot system configurations
Maintain and continuously improve production-related data structures in SAP S/4HANA, including production orders, routings, work centers, and material movements
Ensure full traceability of each unit across all production stages, from initial assembly through to final system integration and handover
Systematically collect and consolidate shop floor data to feed continuous improvement processes, identifying patterns, deviations, and optimization potential across production workflows
Ensure that relevant digital information is available directly at the workstation, enabling operators to work efficiently and with full context
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality to identify data gaps, define data capture standards, and ensure process-aligned documentation
Support the setup and optimization of digital workflows that replace manual or paper-based data collection on the shop floor
Monitor data quality and completeness across connected systems, proactively flagging inconsistencies, and serve as a go-to contact for SAP-related questions
Contribute to the development of production dashboards and KPIs (e.g. via Power BI or similar tools) to make manufacturing progress and bottlenecks visible in real time
What You Bring
Fluency in English is required, as well as basic conversational German (B1 or above preferred)
Completed degree or apprenticeship in industrial engineering, business informatics, mechatronics, production technology, or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to operational data capture and process documentation
Working knowledge of SAP sufficient to maintain data, trigger transactions, and support process integration; prior SAP certification is not required
Strong IT affinity and the ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and digital workflows
Structured and detail-oriented working style with a genuine interest in making complex production processes transparent and traceable
Proactive personality who is comfortable spending time on the shop floor and translating observations into well-structured data
Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.
