Job Summary
DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Service Manager position in our Columbus, Ohio location. As a Service Manager, you will lead your team of Service Technicians by providing assistance, guidance, and training. You will have the opportunity to manage and monitor the performance of service and repair projects within your Account Team. This is a great opportunity for the ideal candidate to work with an established Service Account Team and continue to assist with the growth of our business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the performance of service and repair projects within the assigned customer accounts.
- Assist the Account Manager in defining the technical requirements for proper HVAC & R equipment service and repair. Must follow through and monitor the performance of the Service Technicians in meeting these technical requirements.
- Provide assistance, guidance, and training to Service Technicians in performing their respective assignments.
- Provide assistance and guidance to interdepartmental personnel (Dispatch Coordinators and Service Coordinators) in performing their respective assignments.
- Ensure adherence to company/management policies and procedures.
- Cooperate in the management/maintenance of good customer and employee relations.
- Cooperate in the management/maintenance of proper and accurate documentation.
- Ensure personal accessibility to customers and employees.
- Provide assistance and support to Account Managers in management of new and existing accounts.
- Cooperate in the monitoring of employee performance and recommendation of personnel dismissal, reassignment, promotion, and/or additional staffing requirements.
- Participate in the twenty-four hour on-call weekly rotation, as directed by the Vice President.
- Provide technical assistance to the Service Coordinator to ensure the most effective and efficient distribution of manpower.
- Provide customer repair/ replacement estimates in a timely professional manner.
- Complete EMCOR’s required LMS classes.
- Be responsible for refrigerant inventory of technician’s refrigerant usage.
Qualifications
- Working hours 7:30am-4:30pm (additional hours as necessary).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a positive, engaging, proactive, and team-based style.
- The ideal candidate will satisfactorily complete an industry aptitude test.
- Demonstrating strong organizational skills to achieve operational profitability, document and record retention, and sound procedural operations.
- Building strong Customer and Employee relations is a cornerstone of success in this role.
- A professional appearance is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
