At Prestwick Service Centre, we specialize in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelle systems and engine components. We take pride in fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where every team member plays a vital role in our shared success.
We are excited to offer an opportunity for Mechanic Inspectors to join our Operational Business Units.
What You’ll Be Doing
Engaging in hands-on, detailed work, including the disassembly, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
Reading and interpreting technical data, such as manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings.
Upholding high standards of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Contributing ideas for process improvements and helping drive positive change.
Your Skills & Experience
A time-served qualification in a relevant discipline, with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification.
Strong practical skills developed through experience in a mechanical or engineering environment.
A proactive and solution-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, with a natural ability to collaborate and share knowledge.
Confidence in numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy.
A commitment to upholding Collins Aerospace policies and values, including ethics, safety, and continuous learning.
Preferred Experience (But Not Essential!)
Previous experience in an aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment.
Knowledge of aircraft composite structures and repairs.
Experience with fastener removal and installation.
Familiarity with engine build-up, measurement tools, and torque applications.
SAP or similar operating system experience.
An understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.]
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
