Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries
- Perform backup and recovery operations
- Manage database upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Ensure high availability and data security
- Troubleshoot database issues and support production systems
- Work closely with application and development teams
Required Skills
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL database administration
- Good knowledge of SQL and query optimization
- Experience in backup, recovery, and replication
- Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python) is preferred
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to other databases like MySQL/SQL Server
- Knowledge of automation tools
