Accountabilities:

    The Manager of Media Relations will be responsible for developing and executing media strategies that increase visibility, strengthen thought leadership, and support business objectives. This role requires a combination of strategic communication expertise, media relationship management, and content development skills.

    • Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies across owned, earned, and paid channels to support business priorities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, business, and industry media contacts to secure meaningful coverage opportunities.
    • Create targeted media lists, manage distribution channels, and identify opportunities for executive visibility.
    • Develop compelling media pitches, press materials, bylines, articles, blogs, and thought leadership content that highlight industry expertise.
    • Support executive and subject matter expert visibility through interviews, speaking opportunities, and industry events.
    • Translate complex technology solutions, business insights, and market trends into clear and engaging external narratives.
    • Monitor editorial calendars, manage pitching schedules, and align communications efforts with strategic initiatives.
    • Measure media performance, analyze results, and optimize communication strategies based on insights.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to amplify campaigns, announcements, and market-facing initiatives.
    • Coordinate media interviews, content placements, and review processes while maintaining strong internal alignment.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in public relations, media relations, and strategic communications, with a strong understanding of technology markets and business audiences. They should be an excellent storyteller who can manage complex topics and build trusted relationships with media professionals.

      • 7+ years of progressive experience in marketing, public relations, communications, or media relations roles.
      • Previous experience working with PR or media agencies is required.
      • Established relationships and contacts within technology and business media outlets.
      • Proven success securing earned media coverage, interviews, and thought leadership placements.
      • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling media narratives.
      • Experience translating complex services, products, and technical concepts into accessible messaging.
      • Ability to develop strategic messaging, positioning, and communication plans.
      • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines, editorial calendars, and multiple priorities.
      • Strategic mindset with strong business acumen and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
      • Experience working with publicly traded companies and understanding related communication requirements is preferred.
