An electrical foreman is a skilled supervisor who leads a crew of electricians and apprentices on construction or industrial projects, ensuring that electrical systems are installed, maintained, or repaired safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and specifications

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Crew Supervision: Oversees daily tasks of electricians and apprentices, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
Work Planning & Scheduling: Reads and interprets electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan work sequences, material needs, and timelines
Project Coordination: Works with project managers, engineers, architects, and other trade foremen to align schedules, avoid delays, and resolve inter-trade issues
Quality Control: Inspects completed installations to ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and other applicable codes; corrects deficiencies before inspections
Safety Compliance: Enforces OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, conducts hazard assessments, and ensures proper PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures
Material & Equipment Management: Orders supplies, tracks deliveries, and manages inventory to prevent work stoppages
Training & Mentorship: Guides and trains junior electricians, sharing best practices and technical knowledge
Documentation & Reporting: Maintains records of work progress, labor hours, safety incidents, and material usage for reporting and audits
Problem Solving: Troubleshoots electrical issues on-site and implements solutions to maintain system integrity and project timelines
