You are a strategic leader who balances deep technical vision with exceptional people leadership, serving as a player-coach to drive the automation of complex global payment processes. Your mission is to strengthen our payments engine by integrating AI-driven advancements and scaling resilient, distributed systems that move hundreds of millions daily.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyStrategic Oversight: Manage the activities of specific teams, setting clear priorities and ensuring execution aligns with functional strategy and business trends.Team Development: Responsible for performance management, professional development, and hiring to optimize team capability within budget.Resource Allocation: Independently determine approaches to daily operations and resource management to support multiple product lines.Engineering ExcellenceSystem Evolution: Drive modern architecture by providing long-term technical direction for reliable, performant, and scalable distributed systems.AI & Automation: Design workflow orchestration and decision support systems leveraging AI to optimize compliance and risk mitigation.Quality Governance: Establish high standards through thorough design reviews and sustainable engineering practices like TDD and CI/CD.Cross-Functional CollaborationStakeholder Alignment: Partner with Product, QA, and SRE to align technical roadmaps with business outcomes and product strategy.Global Influence: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and senior engineers across the global organization to refine infrastructure requirements.QualificationsHere’s What We’re Looking For:Management Experience3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, with a proven track record in performance management and hiring.Technical Foundations7+ years of software engineering experience focusing on high-availability production systems and distributed architecture. Payments Domain ExpertiseHands-on experience building or supporting payment platforms, payment gateways, financial systems, or fintech products.Strong understanding of payment processing, payment orchestration, card payments, banking integrations, or other payment ecosystem components is highly preferred.Leadership & CommunicationStrong ability to navigate complex business issues, influence senior leaders, and communicate technical subjects clearly to non-technical partners.Technologies we use:Backend: Ruby, JavaFrontend:...
