EHS Analyst

Join us as an EHS Specialist and help create a culture of safety, sustainability across our organization. You will partner with the business to ensure understanding of our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy, supporting corporate policies, goals, and continuous improvement projects.

As a trusted EHS professional, you will help foster a safe and compliant work environment by ensuring full adherence to Mexican regulations, and corporate standards related to Environmental, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene programs. Your work will directly help protect the health, wellbeing, and physical integrity of our employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, and the communities where we operate.

You will also help safeguard company facilities, assets, and reputation while promoting proactive risk management and a safety-first mindset throughout the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact, influence positive change, and support a culture where people and safety come first.

You will report to the EHS Sr. Manager. This is an onsite role based in Saltillo, Mexico.

Main Responsibilities.

  • Provide EHS auditor support during internal and corporate audits.
  • Coordinate the activities of our emergency response teams, safety and hygiene committee, and EHS team.
  • Ensure the understanding, implementation, monitoring, and traceability of corporate procedures.
  • Develop and monitor EHS training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance with EHS regulations for the plant.
  • Develop the accident prevention and emergency response strategy.
  • Implement preventive and corrective actions resulting from corporate, client audits, incidents and accidents.
  • Coordinate the team to conduct incident and accident investigations.
  • Coordinate the activities of the brigades, the safety and hygiene committee, and our EHS team.
  • Attend audits by the STPS, IATF, clients, and PPG corporate offices related to the EHS area.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of functional, or comparable, experience.
  • Experience in the chemical, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
  • EHS legal procedures experience.
  • Experience managing inspections and contractor management.
  • IATF or ISO 14000 knowledge.
