Manager, NNA Commercial Excellence & Pricing

Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Novelis North America Product Management team is seeking a Manager, Commercial Excellence & Pricing to lead regional pricing strategy, commercial excellence initiatives, and process improvement across all North America market segments. Reporting to the Director, NNA Product Management & AMS, this role will develop and implement the regional pricing and commercial excellence roadmap, support strategic customer negotiations, and drive scalable ways of working that improve commercial effectiveness, profitability, and decision-making. The Manager will partner closely with Sales, Commercial Strategy, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and the Global Commercial Excellence organization to deploy tools, governance, and standard processes that strengthen commercial capabilities across the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the regional Commercial Excellence and Pricing roadmap, aligning pricing strategy, process improvement, and commercial excellence priorities across all North America market segments.
- Strengthen pricing governance and decision-making, developing scalable frameworks, tools, analytics, and standards that improve consistency, profitability, and commercial responsiveness.
- Develop pricing and proposal recommendations for customer opportunities, balancing market dynamics, customer value, competitive positioning, historical pricing, profitability, operational considerations, and long-term business growth to support sound offer and negotiation strategies.
- Drive regional margin improvement through pricing excellence initiatives, supporting strategic customer negotiations, and addressing margin leakage. Partner with Sales and business leaders to provide pricing guidance, scenario analysis, and commercial recommendations.
- Drive commercial transformation and process simplification, including regional deployment of the Win Room concept, digital enablement, and improved ways of working across the commercial organization.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of four Senior Analysts, strengthening commercial analytics, change adoption, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial strategy, commercial excellence, sales operations, finance, product management, or related roles within a manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing pricing recommendations, commercial analyses, and cases that support negotiations, profitability improvement, and strategic decision-making.
- Strong analytical and financial skill, with the ability to translate customer, market, competitive, operational, and financial data into clear recommendations.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, process improvement efforts, or commercial transformation projects.
- Strong communication, partner management, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing others, including direct people leadership or leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, commercial excellence, commercial strategy, or sales operations.
- Prior people management experience.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Power BI, SAP, AI-enabled tools, or other digital/commercial enablement platforms.
- Experience in metals, process manufacturing, industrial products, or complex B2B environments.
