Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Compliance Management will act as a business partner and project manager for subsidiary regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to all regulatory obligations. This role involves overseeing compliance frameworks, advising internal stakeholders, and managing regulatory reporting processes. The position requires strategic oversight, policy development, and proactive engagement with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Oversight

  • Monitor and track regulatory issuances, ensuring timely compliance.

  • Conduct gap assessments on programs, processes, and products to identify regulatory compliance improvements.

  • Assess and mitigate regulatory risks associated with new business initiatives.

Business Partnering & Internal Advisory Services

  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams, ensuring regulatory considerations are integrated into decision-making.

  • Provide guidance on compliance risks related to proposed products, services, and operational changes.

  • Prepare reports and memos to keep management informed of relevant regulatory developments.

Policy Development & Implementation

  • Lead the design and implementation of compliance policies and programs in line with evolving regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policies are effectively executed and integrated into business operations.

  • Conduct periodic policy reviews and updates to align with regulatory changes.

Regulatory Reporting & Audit Management

  • Oversee regulatory reporting to ensure timely and accurate submissions.

  • Manage responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.

  • Implement corrective actions and follow-up procedures to address compliance issues.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Drive compliance-related projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.

  • Work closely with internal teams, subsidiaries, and external regulators to maintain compliance and address concerns proactively.

  • Promote a culture of compliance through training and awareness initiatives.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a satisfactory rating in compliance audits and regulatory obligations of subsidiaries.

  • Reporting Accuracy: Ensure the timely and precise submission of regulatory reports from the subsidiaries.

  • Advisory Effectiveness: Provide high-quality advisory services with positive stakeholder feedback.

  • Gap Assessment Framework: Develop a systematic approach for regulatory gap assessments.

  • Team Collaboration: Foster a strong compliance culture and promote continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in regulatory compliance or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., BSP, AMLC, SEC).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in publicly listed companies

  • Proficiency in G Suite and compliance management software.
