Purpose

The events & meetings intern is responsible for the day-to-day assistance within the groups & meetings team. They play a role in the smooth communication with the hotels and the organizers. Other focuses are on data entry, admin processes, and assisting on projects while working closely with the groups & meetings specialists in order to optimize each other's activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming emails, phone calls, and chats
  • Organizing role in preparation for all groups and meetings
  • Handle general questions and issues about in-house groups and meetings
  • Collect and distribute feedback about the experiences of the guests
  • Check, send out, and chase open payments
  • Assist with other projects and (administrative) activities
  • Create SOP’s
  • Do after-sales calls - cross and upsell activities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Are studying (international) business, hospitality, tourism, or a related field
  • Are a creative, flexible, and fun personality
  • Fluent in English, preferably more languages
  • Are client-focused and a problem-solver

Locations & Hours 
  • Monday to Friday, ideally 40 hours per week. Flexible schedule based on school schedule.
  • Hours of work vary between AM and PM shifts: 
    AM shift is from 9.00-17.00 and PM from 14.00-22.00
  • Based in Leiden. Hybrid role, not fully remote. Expect to be in the office 2 to 4 days per week.
  • Must have the right to study/work in the country.
  • Start date: September.
  • Duration: 6 months.
