Accountabilities:

    The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while supporting the continued evolution of a healthcare-focused data platform. The role requires strong ownership across backend, frontend, database, and API development, along with a commitment to clean architecture, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    • Build and deliver full-stack application features, covering database migrations, backend logic, APIs, and user-facing interfaces.
    • Design and maintain efficient relational database structures using MySQL and/or PostgreSQL, with a focus on performance, scalability, and data integrity.
    • Develop clean, reliable RESTful APIs that support frontend applications and connect with critical data sources.
    • Create and maintain backend services using Laravel and modern PHP practices, including Eloquent, migrations, queues, events, and testing tools.
    • Develop responsive frontend experiences using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Blade, Livewire, Vue, or React.
    • Support the integration of AI-enabled capabilities by connecting data sources, workflows, and user-facing features in a reliable and maintainable way.
    • Write tested, readable, and maintainable code while following software development best practices and principles focused on simplicity and scalability.
    • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with internal and external engineering partners.
    • Partner with product and design teams to transform ideas into impactful features that deliver value to healthcare and life sciences users.
    • Improve existing systems through thoughtful refactoring, troubleshooting, and continuous technical enhancements.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack engineer who combines strong technical expertise with curiosity, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Candidates should have experience building production-level web applications and working across backend, frontend, and data layers.

      • Approximately 5+ years of experience building and maintaining web applications in professional environments.
      • Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and modern PHP development, including application architecture, testing, and framework best practices.
      • Proven experience delivering full-stack features from database design through backend services and frontend interfaces.
      • Strong understanding of relational database concepts, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
      • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs with clear documentation and reliable architecture.
      • Frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks or tools such as Blade, Livewire, Vue, or React.
      • Strong commitment to writing automated tests and building software that is reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
      • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
      • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or similar platforms.
        • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD workflows, and modern development practices.
        • Experience building data-heavy applications, reporting platforms, dashboards, or analytics solutions.
        • Background working in healthcare, life sciences, or other industries where data accuracy and reliability are critical.
        • Experience contributing to open-source projects or engaging with broader engineering communities.
