About the role:

Getting the right components and materials to the right place at the right time is one of the most operationally critical things Halter does. Miss it and production output slips, customers wait, and the business pays for it. The Supply Planning Manager is the person who makes sure that doesn't happen.

You'll own the end-to-end supply plan across our product portfolio, translating demand signals into material requirements, placing and managing purchase orders, maintaining healthy inventory positions, and keeping a close eye on anything that could disrupt supply before it becomes a problem. You'll work closely with our suppliers, our internal operations teams, and the Sales & Operations Planning Lead to make sure the supply side of the business is always in good shape and clearly visible.

Who we're looking for:

  • Own the supply plan across Halter's product portfolio, translating demand forecasts and production requirements into material and component requirements at the right quantities and timing.

  • Place, manage, and track purchase orders across our supplier base, ensuring orders are confirmed, on schedule, and flagged early if they're at risk.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with decision-makers and commercial leads at Halter's contract manufacturers and key suppliers, positioning yourself as the influence that makes the hard things possible.

  • Use the standing you've built to get results when it matters, expediting with real leverage, calling the right people, and cutting through delays rather than simply escalating. This is the core output of the relationships you build.

  • Proactively map supply chain risk across the portfolio - single-source exposures, lead time cliffs, geopolitical vulnerabilities - and build and execute strategic mitigation plans.

  • Manage day-to-day supply and delivery matters, building the communication cadence that keeps orders on track and surfaces issues early.

  • Define and own the supply planning metrics that give Halter a clear, honest view of supply health - supply availability, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and inventory position.

  • Build and lead a high-performance supply planning team - set clear priorities, remove blockers, and invest in their development.

What your day could look like:

  • Solid experience in supply planning or materials planning in a hardware or electronics manufacturing environment. You've owned a supply plan end-to-end and know what it takes to keep it reliable.

  • Strong understanding of MRP, purchase order management, inventory control, and how demand translates into supply requirements.

  • Trusted by suppliers and contract manufacturers - you've built relationships with the people who actually control outcomes (planners, factory leads, decision-makers, not just account managers), and know how to get things done inside a CM: factory scheduling, internal escalation, and expediting with real leverage.

  • Sharp analytical skills. You're fluent in the data that underpins a supply plan, comfortable building your own analysis, and good at spotting the signal in the noise.

  • A high degree of ownership and follow-through. You keep track of everything that matters and you close things out.

  • Clear, direct communication. You can give a crisp supply position update to a senior stakeholder and a precise expedite request to a supplier.

  • A bias for getting ahead of problems. You see them coming, you raise them, and you drive them to resolution.

  • Low ego and comfortable with discomfort. You handle hard conversations with honesty, directness, and good judgement about when to escalate.

Our Benefits:

  • Delicious snacks and drinks are available for your daily flow.

  • Healthy body, healthy mind. We're partnered with Southern Cross Health Insurance to support your well-being.

  • We offer 6 months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 4 weeks of fully paid secondary caregiver leave and many other parental benefits that support you and your family.

  • Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual $1000 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth.

  • Our time to recharge is valued, we're offered wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.

  • Importantly, we offer an inclusive and attractive remuneration package made up of salary, benefits and an employee stock ownership plan.
