Senior Security Software Engineer - Data, Assistant Vice President
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions organisation at Technology Platform Engineering & Operations division to bolster our Self-Service, Scanning and Platform Integrations function. The role holder will take technical ownership of all data engineering aspects across our on-prem and cloud products to enable our internal customers to make data-driven decisions and provide them with high-quality data they need to do so. This is a very exciting opportunity to work with multiple internally developed distributed systems, portals and data warehouses serving thousands of IT users and hundreds of thousands of IT assets in one of the world’s largest banks, be co-responsible for shaping their future and take them to the next level - also with the use of AI-assisted development techniques such as spec-driven development. Product mindset and strong focus on building solutions to solve the next big problem at the crossroad of Cybersecurity & IT is essential to succeed in this role and to deliver on the promise of a more cyber resilient, user-friendly bank.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering
- Hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud (Azure and AWS) data environments
- Experience building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, architectures, data models and data sets (both structured and unstructured)
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or similar
- Advanced scripting skills (Powershell or Python)
- Experience building production-grade ETL or ELT pipelines
- Experience with platforms like PowerBI, Databricks, Snowflake
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure incl. servers, storage, networking, access control, and deployment environments
- Strong experience in working with APIs
- Very good communication skills and ability to translate non-technical requirements into robust solutions
- Good understanding and proficiency working with SDLC tooling such as GIT, CI/CD pipelines, Jira
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with public Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and migrating or re-architecting workloads from on-prem to cloud-native
- Experience working with ServiceNow API
- Previous experience working in a regulated industry
- Demonstrated fluency in using LLMs to speed up and enhance engineering workflows
Note: The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office
Minimum Salary:
zł182,004 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
