Intern - Energy Markets Analytics LATAM

DNV’s Energy Markets Analytics LATAM team is offering an internship, looking for an ambitious, highly vocational and skilled student in Energy/Electrical Engineering with interest in energy markets and/or energy system modelling to support the activities of the Energy Markets Analytics LATAM team.

The tasks of the intern in Modeling will include:

• Participate to consultancy activities with tasks including energy market analysis, preparation of deliverables, power market newsletter reporting, and quarterly updates for the Power Analytics platform.
• Develop and continuously refine advanced energy models to forecast electricity market trends and pricing, and to optimize the utilization of assets such as battery energy storage systems.

• Graduating in Energy or Electrical Engineering, or any other similar degree.
• Interest and knowledge of the Chilean energy sector and power system.
• Soft Skills: enthusiastic, passionate to learn, responsible, analytical mindset.
• Basic experience with programming languages and database like Python and SQL.
• Basic experience with energy systems modeling software such as PLP or Plexos is a plus.
• Expected graduation date after January 2027
• Language: Proficiency in Spanish and English.
