EMEA Senior Labor Relations Manager, Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER)

Amazon's Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER) team seeks a senior labor relations leader to own and shape our regional LR strategy, drive programmatic excellence, and elevate the employee experience across EMEA.
As Senior EMEA Labor Relations Manager, you'll operate across two dimensions:
- Regional LOB ownership: Serve as the dedicated LR leader for one of Amazon's largest lines of business at EMEA regional level — owning the end-to-end labor relations strategy, stakeholder relationships, and risk posture across all EMEA markets for that LOB.
- Southern Europe, Middle East LR depth: Provide specialised, hands-on strategic LR support for Spain, Italy, and emerging markets across the Middle East — high-complexity environments with active collective frameworks, and growing headcount requiring dedicated expertise.
Reporting to the EMEA LR leader, you'll set strategic direction, contribute to cross-regional LR programmes and capability development, and drive outcomes that balance employee trust with business velocity at scale. This role requires the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels — setting the vision while rolling up sleeves to deliver.
The applicable collective agreement for this role is CCNL per i Dirigenti di aziende del Settore Industriale. The position is classified at level Dirigente or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience.
The minimum gross annual base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated.
Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
Italy - 98,800 EUR gross annually.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Programme Ownership:
- Set and drive the multi-year labor relations strategy for your assigned LOB across all EMEA markets
- Own end-to-end LR programme design, execution, and continuous improvement at regional scale
- Lead proactive risk identification, scenario planning, and mitigation across countries
- Shape and influence GCER-wide frameworks, playbooks, and operating models
- Represent EMEA LR in global forums and cross-functional leadership discussions
ERB Governance & Stakeholder Influence
- Influence VP+ stakeholders and business leaders on LR strategy, risk posture, and investment decisions
- Partner with Legal, PXT, Public Policy, and business leadership to drive aligned outcomes
Change Leadership & Innovation:
- Lead complex, multi-country change programmes (restructurings, tool deployments, policy changes)
- Drive innovation in LR delivery — including automation, data-driven insights, and scalable frameworks
- Own the LR lens on regional business initiatives, ensuring compliance and trust are built in from Day 1
- Experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
- Regional LR experience across EU/EMEA
- Specialised LR expertise in Spain and Italy, Knowledge of EU labor laws, collective regulations, and co-determination frameworks
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Experience managing complex, multi-country LR programmes in a matrix environment
- Experience influencing and advising VP+ leadership on strategic workforce matters
- Fluent in written and spoken English (CEFR, C2) and Spanish and/or Italian (CEFR, C2).
- Experience operating across the broader EMEA region (Middle East and Africa)
- Direct experience managing ERB relationships in Southern European consultation environments
- Demonstrated success building LR functions or programmes from the ground up
- Strong bias for action with proven ability to simplify complexity
- Experience with data-driven decision making and LR analytics
- Track record of converting ERB relationships from compliance-driven to trust-driven
- Ability to deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments
- Experience in tech-sector or corporate (non-operations) labor relations
- Experience supporting large, complex lines of business at regional scale

Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
- Regional LR experience across EU/EMEA
- Specialised LR expertise in Spain and Italy, Knowledge of EU labor laws, collective regulations, and co-determination frameworks
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Experience managing complex, multi-country LR programmes in a matrix environment
- Experience influencing and advising VP+ leadership on strategic workforce matters
