As a Head Mixologist, you’re not just preparing and serving drinks – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
As a Head Mixologist you will be responsible for engaging our guests during their visit, overseeing the performance of the bar team, and supporting the development of creative beverage offerings. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Lead by example in delivering excellent guest service at the bar
- Train, coach, and mentor bartenders to ensure consistency in skills, knowledge, and service standards
- Contribute to the design, creation, and implementation of seasonal and signature drinks menus
- Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner
- Create and serve a wide range of beverages including classic cocktails, signature creations, beer, wine, and soft drinks
- Maintain strong knowledge of menu content, upcoming changes, and promotional activities
- Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and readiness of the bar area at all times
- Ensure the proper settlement of all customer accounts efficiently and accurately
- Support and motivate the bar team to consistently achieve service excellence
- Answer guest queries in a polite, professional, and helpful manner
A Head Mixologist serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and leading the bar team. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- Previous experience in a cocktail bar environment, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong ability to create both classic cocktails and innovative, trend-driven beverages
- Experience in training, developing, or mentoring bartenders
- Flexibility in working hours, including rostered shifts, late nights, and weekends
- Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, organised, and positive in fast-paced environments
A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service and motivating others to do the same
