The Figma for Education team is passionate about working with the next generation of makers and giving them the tools they need to design the future. We have a bold vision to make Figma the industry standard for visual collaboration in the classroom. With this role you’ll get in at the ground floor in this fast growing team.

We are looking for an Education Program Manager to join our dynamic team of creatives, engineers, marketers, and brilliant business folks. You aren’t the typical salesperson, and we aren’t the typical design tool company. As one of the founding members of the Education Program Management team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of account and relationship management with our education customers. This will include creating foundational processes for onboarding new education customers while also deepening existing relationships to help grow our Figma for Education program. You will be essential in creating a repeatable process for pitching, onboarding & supporting customers. While you won’t have traditional sales obligations like a quota (since schools get Figma for free), you will act as the primary point-of-contact for our education customers.

Our next team member will have an agile, dynamic mindset, be comfortable embracing change, a true team-player, and love working with our growing footprint of Education customers.

This is a full-time role that can be held from our New York City or San Francisco hub - or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Build out our PgM function from the ground up, including foundational processes for onboarding & supporting both new and existing education customers
  • Create resources to effectively present Figma for Education solutions to educational institutions. Develop new training materials for workshops as needed to ensure an amazing Figma customer experience
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at large school districts and higher ed institutions at both national and state levels. Define and execute on engagement strategy
  • Analyze internal data to understand customer usage, including risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Education Marketing manager to drive continued growth
  • Collaborate with Designer Advocates to bring professional development and support to large scale implementations
  • Partner closely with product teams to ensure we’re factoring customer feedback in ongoing product development

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Program Management, with a proven track record of closing opportunities, ideally within a fast-growing technology company
  • Ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships while managing and growing a diverse portfolio of accounts
  • Strong interest in learning technical products and effectively articulating their value to prospective customers
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting business growth
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills, eager to learn and contribute to building a high-performing team

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • You have domain expertise, understand the K12/higher ed educator and school leader audiences and have worked with them in the past
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
