Accountabilities:

    The Alliance Manager will lead strategic external relationships, ensuring collaborations are effectively managed from early evaluation through execution and long-term success. This role requires strong scientific understanding, business partnership skills, and the ability to coordinate complex agreements across multiple stakeholders.

    • Serve as the primary relationship manager for strategic oncology and translational medicine partnerships, developing trusted and collaborative relationships with external organizations.
    • Lead study intake processes by tracking incoming opportunities, evaluating clinical priorities, and ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives.
    • Assess partnership opportunities before contracting, identifying potential value from clinical data access, sample acquisition, publications, validation activities, and future algorithm development.
    • Establish governance structures, communication plans, and strategic reporting frameworks to maintain strong alliance health and visibility.
    • Drive contract coordination by managing legal discussions, protocol reviews, informed consent documentation, and external communication throughout agreement execution.
    • Monitor contractual obligations, including intellectual property considerations, data-sharing requirements, compliance expectations, and reporting commitments.
    • Partner with internal program management and scientific teams to transition executed agreements into effective operational plans.
    • Maintain communication across internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on alliance priorities, partner activities, and collaboration outcomes.
    • Track key partnership performance indicators, including onboarding efficiency, contract timelines, partner satisfaction, and strategic value creation.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate combines advanced life sciences knowledge with proven experience managing strategic collaborations in biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or related healthcare environments. You should be comfortable navigating complex scientific discussions, contracts, and cross-functional partnerships.

      • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field required; PhD or equivalent advanced scientific background preferred.
      • 5+ years of experience in alliance management, relationship management, external partnerships, or similar roles within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or healthcare industries.
      • Strong understanding of oncology, biomarker development, molecular diagnostics, and translational medicine applications in clinical research.
      • Experience managing complex research collaborations, legal agreements, and multi-party partnerships.
      • Familiarity with compliance requirements related to healthcare data sharing, including HIPAA and protected health information standards.
      • Ability to translate scientific and strategic objectives into actionable partnership plans and operational priorities.
      • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and business audiences.
      • Strategic mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
      • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to support partner engagement and collaboration activities.
