We're committed to excellence in everything we do, and we're seeking talented individuals who share our passion and values to join our team. Working with the relevant lead engineer, the Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of new and maintenance of existing crushing plant, within defined timescales.What you’ll do:Main Duties & Responsibilities: Provide engineered solutions for the development of new products and modifications to existing products.To resolve problems at the root cause quickly and effectively and manage engineering change processFollow Group standards of in the areas of QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testingFollow Group engineering standards and associated IT systems, to ensure effective global management of released engineering dataEnsure current and new products meet standards and performance levels specified for safety, function and reliabilityReduce manufacturing cost through improved design and consultation with the production department, purchasing and suppliers.To investigate and address Customer Complaints in a timely manner.Stay knowledgeable of machine component advancements and competitor design trends; apply latest technology to new and existing designs where appropriate to stay current and innovative.This above description is non-exhaustive and there may be additional duties in accordance with the role.What you’ll bring:Experience & Qualifications:Degree educated or equivalent in Engineering, ideally with design experience in the mobile tracked equipment.Competent user of 3D Solid Modeling CAD, ideally CREO, and familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systemsGood technical expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systemsExperience of conveying systems would be advantageousA good understanding of the various applications that the equipment can operate in along with an appreciation for the expected performance of the machines.Creativity and innovative thinkingExperience with Oracle TMS a plusGood English communication skill, both written and spoken;Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:A “Can do” attitude and ability to interact with a multi-functional team.Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.Able to assess workload and commit to realistic timelines.Able to select from multiple design alternatives when a clear best choice is not evident.Can identify risks both technical and commercial with proposed product change or new productWhy Join Us:We are a global company, and our culture is defined by our Values — Integrity, Respect, Improvement, Servant Leadership, Courage, and Citizenship.
