Accountabilities:
- Implement and maintain security configurations, cloud security guardrails, and baseline controls across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Design, develop, and maintain security automation solutions using infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep, or Deployment Manager.
- Operate and improve cloud security platforms, including SIEM/SOAR solutions, CSPM tools, vulnerability scanners, key management systems, and monitoring solutions.
- Manage cloud identity and access management (IAM), including roles, policies, conditional access, and least-privilege security models.
- Apply security frameworks such as FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 across multi-cloud environments while supporting audits and continuous monitoring activities.
- Harden cloud resources, including compute services, storage, databases, containers, and serverless platforms.
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, configuration reviews, patching activities, and remediation efforts across cloud platforms.
- Monitor emerging security threats and recommend improvements to strengthen cloud security resilience.
- Support security investigations, compliance activities, and ongoing improvements to enterprise cybersecurity operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of related experience in cybersecurity, cloud security engineering, or IT risk management.
- Hands-on experience securing at least two major cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, cloud networking concepts, automation, and security tooling.
- Experience implementing security controls within regulated environments and supporting compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automation technologies, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud security monitoring, vulnerability management, identity management, and threat detection solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain High-Risk Public Trust access as part of government security requirements.
- Advanced cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Security Professional.
- Additional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP.
- Experience supporting FedRAMP, NIST, or government-regulated cloud environments.
- Experience with security automation, DevSecOps practices, and continuous compliance programs.
