OCI is seeking a Document Control Engineer to help scale a GigaScale data center delivery with speed, consistency, and predictable outcomes. This role is accountable for building and continuously improving the operating system that turns delivery goals into repeatable execution; translating lessons learned into standard work, tightening handoffs between teams, and reducing the variability that drives schedule slips, rework, and cost overruns. This project also has a strong focus on project controls, especially at the end of the project for closeout documentation. This Engineer will be responsible for holding the developer and other stakeholders accountable for turning over sufficient warranties, O&Ms, training documentation, and other necessary information for the facilities team to successfully operate the data center facility.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder engagement
- Hold developer, (sub)contractors, and miscellaneous vendors accountable for delivering necessary documentation that meet OCI and tenant standards.
- Ability to stay organized and poised during closeout project stages.
Able and willing to present documentation to end user/clients.
Operations collaboration
- Skilled in delivering and conveying operations documentation to the facilities team. Able to facilitate training with the end users.
- Well versed in design standards and able to use contract documents (i.e. specifications, lease/contracts) to hold stakeholders accountable.
- Responsible for compiling a comprehensive list of required turnover documents for easy and successful data center operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to travel up to 50% at times especially towards the end of the project.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3-5+ years experience in process development, operational excellence, program delivery, manufacturing/industrial engineering, or large-scale construction/commissioning environments.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and hold stakeholders accountable for document delivery in a timely manner.
- Adequately versed on closeout documentation and able to distribute to facility operations team.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hyperscale / large data center delivery, commissioning/turnover, or mission-critical facilities.
- Familiarity with project controls concepts (document control, closeout, schedule performance, change management, risk management).
- Strong tooling skills (e.g., Excel/Sheets, Power BI, Smartsheet/Jira/Confluence or similar workflow systems).
- Experience in dealing with punch list processes, commissioning, as-builts, cleaning standards, security, BMS, attic stock, etc.
- Versed in substantial completion, (temporary) certificate of occupancy, final payment and release of liens processes.
- Consistent adoption of standardized conformance documents across executed Go Big sites.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,400 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
