The Sales Executive/Assistant Sales Manager supports the hotel’s commercial strategy by managing accounts, generating leads, and converting opportunities into confirmed business. This role is key in driving and supporting revenue acquisition across key segments such as leisure, travel trade and consortia while maintaining high standards of service and client relationships that reflect the hotel’s brand values.

   

Specifically, as a Sales Executive/Assistant Sales Manager for Waldorf Astoria Maldives you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards: 

  • Analyze market trends and competitors’ activities to identify business leads.

  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the assigned geographic markets to drive business and to increase market/customer share in the leisure and group segments.

  • Continuously source new business through the CIS/Russia market.

  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account / key prospects .

  • Produce and implement an account development plan for each managed account to achieve maximum revenue / production to meet set target.

  • Executive commercial strategies within the area of responsibility.

  • Attends tradeshows and sales trip as planned and submitted of each year and updated calendar at each quarter.

  • Be fully up to date with budgeted / actual / forecast targets of the accounts within your responsibility

  • Monitors and grow business with inputs into sales strategies .

  • Identify and communicate ideas and customer expectations from assigned segments and accounts to Director of Sales, Commercial Director.

  • Maintain accurate profiles and history of all accounts in Delphi.

  • Respond and follow up on group leads, sales opportunities and customer requests promptly and in a professional manner.

  • Attend Sales meetings and BFM calls.

  • Undertake administrative requests as directed by the Sales Management Team; 

  • Support administration and execution of all planned group famil, events and groups.

  • Arrange and carry out Hotel show rounds; 

  • Ensure Wholesale contracts for the hotel in accordance to the established pricing conditions 

  • Participate in hotel promotional activities;

  • Attend training and meetings when required;

  • Carry out any other reasonable task set by the Hotel's Management

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Minimum of (2) years in a similar position in sales.

  • Experience in Sales role with proven track record to close a sale.

  • Knowledge of local market.

  • Proficient level of verbal and written Russian and English.

  • Understanding of basic revenue management practices.

  • Sound computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, Opera and Delphi.
