We're looking for a Accounts Receivables Specialist (d/f/m) to join our Financial Accounting & Controlling Team in Berlin.
Our Financial Accounting & Controlling Team in Germany is responsible for a broad range of activities and works with local teams (FP&A, Legal, HR), and Central Functions in Amsterdam or Barcelona.

You will report to the local Head of Accounting. This is a hybrid role (2-3 office days/ week), and our office is based in Berlin Charlottenburg.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • You have a Bachelor- or Masters degree / MBA Accounting & Controlling or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Accounting or related field will be an advantage.
  • 3+ years experience as an Accounts Receivables Specialist or similar role
  • Experience with basic accounting principles and accounts receivable processes
  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferred in NetSuite or Business Central) and MS Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to partner with the different levels in the organisation and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • (Very) Good German (min. B2) and English skills in writing and speaking
  • A valid EU work permit

Responsibilities

About the role:


The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivables process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of outgoing invoices and maintaining the payment process.


What You Will Do:

  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices and credit memos, ensuring compliance with tax requirements and internal policies
  • Preparation, recording, verification, analysis and reporting of accounts receivable transactions
  • Post customer payments and run SEPA collections on a timely basis and monitor the dunning strategy
  • Monitor aging reports and engage with customers regarding outstanding balances to minimize DSO
  • Manage the end-to-end dunning cycle
  • Maintain and adjust master data and tracking of KPIs
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable ledger accounts, related financial statements and reports
  • Collaboration with customers and internal departments to resolve inquiries and issues
  • Collaboration with FP&A, Accounting and Operations
  • Support month-end closing and reporting activities
  • Support the Accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks
