About the Role
Akamai's Active Testing product offers advanced API security, identifying vulnerabilities early in the application development process. It supports teams in implementing a Shift-Left Security Strategy, addressing risks and enhancing API protection from initial development stages. We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to contribute to our core engineering efforts.
In this role you will be:
- Designing, building and maintaining backend security services for an active API scanning platform that operates at scale.
- Driving system architecture, technical design, and code reviews for new and existing features.
- Implementing cutting-edge security products that help protect businesses online.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have good experience in object-oriented software development
- 4+ years of experience in Backend Development using TypeScript and NodeJS
- 4+ years of experience in working with Linux-based systems
- Bring 4+ years of expertise in HTTP communication protocols and/or experience in the cybersecurity domain
- Have passion for debugging and solving complex problems
- Have experience working with one of the following technologies: Postgres, AWS, Docker, K8S
- Have versatility and the ability to learn and become proficient in new subjects quickly
