What is the Opportunity?
As the Director, Capital Markets Talent Acquisition, North America you will lead talent acquisition activity for RBC Capital Markets across the US and Canada. You will be accountable for leading a strong recruitment team that drives talent strategy and enables business growth. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director, Early Talent for Capital Markets, who leads our Global Campus recruitment efforts to bring holistic talent acquisition experiences to our business and functional partners. Operating as a key partner to business and HR leaders, you will shape how RBC Capital Markets attracts and hires talent while establishing solid recruitment practices. You will lead through an active, visible leadership presence, modeling excellence in execution and candidate experience. Collaborating across the Talent Acquisition function, you will leverage market insights to inform recruitment strategy and drive operational excellence.
What will you do?
Scale and develop a high-performing North American recruitment team that sets industry benchmarks for talent quality, speed, and candidate experience.
Coach and support recruiters with advanced sourcing techniques, market intelligence gathering, candidate assessment, and consulting capability.
Actively manage a number of requisitions to maintain a firsthand understanding of the recruiter experience, support team capacity, and ensure the team’s strategic priorities and processes reflect the realities of execution.
Leverage the RBC Blueprint to cultivate team culture and values that attract and retain top recruitment talent.
Service as a key point of contact overseeing recruitment lifecycle activities and provide expert advice and counsel to business leaders, HR leaders, and team.
Partner across the Talent Acquisition function to leverage recruitment metrics, dashboards, and analytics to develop insights and inform our strategy and actions.
Contribute to continued practice development and functional initiatives to ensure excellence in technology, assessment methodology, branding, etc.
Partner with Talent Acquisition, business, HR, and functional leaders to develop and execute multi-year talent acquisition strategies that align with Capital Markets' business objectives, competitive positioning, and long-term workforce planning needs.
Establish a market presence and represent recruitment internally and externally.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
7+ years of proven experience leading a talent acquisition function in Capital Markets.
Active, visible leadership style with the ability to model behaviors, unlock performance, take high performers to the next level, and develop emerging talent.
Proven ability to establish and scale best-in-class practices and drive measurable improvements in recruitment outcomes.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience leading recruitment across multiple geographies and/or in a matrix organization.
Prior experience working with Workday and Phenom.
The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000-$260,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
