Job Description:

Technology Business Operations Role Overview

Business Operations Management (BOM) partners with Global Technology & Solutions (GTS) to help the organization operate with discipline, clarity, and focus. We support operational and strategic excellence across financial and performance management, resource management, operational risk management and colleague engagement. Through standardization, continuous improvement, collaboration, and strong cross-functional partnership, we help run the business and enable better outcomes for our teams, partners, customers, and colleagues.

In this role, you will be part of the BOM team supporting TD’s Delivery & Operations (D&O) department. D&O includes approximately 2,000 colleagues across multiple locations.  Our teams play an important role in advancing the GTS strategy, business operations, performance, and workforce management, while also strengthening delivery, agile, change management, product owner, and analyst practices.

What You'll Do

Solve problems efficiently:

  • You bring structure, discipline, and insight to the way we manage resources, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, approvals, risk, and performance.

  • You identify trends, risks, issues, and productivity opportunities, then partner with leaders and stakeholders to simplify processes, remove barriers, strengthen controls, and recommend practical solutions.

Achieve your goals:

  • We help the department deliver on its strategy and goals by providing the financial, workforce, operational, and performance insights leaders need to make informed decisions.

  • You own and support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, consolidated reporting, Clarity PPM governance, dashboards, scorecards, and executive-ready materials that connect plans, resources, costs, risks, and outcomes.

  • You help hold the leadership team accountable to their targets and plans while working with them to identify clear paths, options, and solutions to achieve their commitments.

Make people’s day:

  • You create a smooth, reliable, and positive experience for leaders, partners, and colleagues by making it easier to access the information, support, approvals, and insights they need to run the department effectively.

  • We count on you to lead with care and responsiveness, support governance meetings and leadership forums, prepare clear materials, and make every interaction feel organized, thoughtful, and easy to act on.

Never stop learning:

  • You bring curiosity, continuous improvement, and a growth mindset to how we operate, looking for better ways to support the department and strengthen the value BOM delivers.

  • You help improve policies, processes, procedures, tools, and ways of working while sharing knowledge, coaching others, and supporting change across multiple functional areas.

Own the details that make the department work:

  • We rely on you to keep the business operating with accuracy, discipline, and strong controls across approvals, financial processes, resource data, reporting, governance routines, and operational follow-through.

  • You partner across teams, manage competing priorities, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, and translate complex information into practical actions that move the department forward.

If you enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, building trusted partnerships, and helping teams deliver with confidence, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across D&O.

Work Location Expectation

This role is expected to be onsite a minimum of four days per week to support strong partnership, collaboration, and connection with the teams we serve.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s or undergraduate degree in Technology, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in technology finance, business operations, resource management, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.

  • Strong experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, costing, and financial performance reporting.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Clarity PPM and Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint and Copilot.

  • Ability to work independently, manage complex priorities, and coach, guide, or provide direction to team members as required.
