Housekeeping Houseperson - Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Club

The award-winning AAA 5-Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Houseperson to join the Housekeeping Team! 

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California's surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid-back vibe and fun, active lifestyle.

The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150-foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and 8 food and Beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and IRD.

• Classification: Full-Time
• Shift: 2 shifts - 8:30am-5pm or 2:30pm-11pm - must have availability to work flexible shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Pay Range: The hourly rate is $24.00 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

As a Houseperson, you’re not just ensuring the cleanliness of designated areas of the hotel – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

• Keep public areas spotless: Maintain cleanliness of designated areas—including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, elevators, offices, and event spaces—by performing daily cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, washing windows, and emptying trash
• Delight our guests: Greet guests warmly, deliver requested items, and assist with room cleaning as needed
• Manage supplies: Stock and organize supply rooms to support efficient housekeeping operations
• Handle special projects: Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses, moving furniture, and waxing floors
• Support property maintenance: Identify and report any repair needs or maintenance deficiencies to ensure a well-kept property
