Description:

Position Purpose:

  • Referral Specialist coordinates, maintains, confirms and/or secures referrals, authorizations, or pre-certifications needed on physician/clinic services. Verifies the accuracy and completeness of admitting information on outpatient referrals and obtains authorizations when needed. Also maintains and keeps updated referral logs.

  • Specialty: Pulmonary and Sleep

  • Location : 5300 N Meadows Dr Building 2, Suite 3820, Grove City, OH 43123

  • Hours of office: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m

What You Will Do:

  • Welcome patients

  • Register patients

  • Schedules appointments, procedures, and testing as needed

  • Gather insurance, check demographics

  • Soft collections

  • Answering incoming calls

  • EPIC

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent

  • Experience: One to two years of medical office experience preferred

  • Experience answering multiline telephone system preferred

  • Basic computer skills required

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures preferred.

  • Knowledge of third party payers and pre-authorization requirements preferred
